### Tax on Zero-Emission Vehicles

The government proposes to provide zero-emission passenger cars with an MRB (road tax) discount until 2029. The discount applies to new and used vehicles and runs until 2030.

### Tax on Plug-in Hybrids

The government proposes to abolish the separate BPM rate for plug-in hybrid passenger cars from 1 January 2025. The cost per gram of CO2 emissions per kilometer will be reduced and aligned with other vehicles. Depending on the model, the tax may increase, decrease, or remain unchanged.

### Fuel Excise Duty

The government wants to extend the current excise reduction on petrol, diesel, and liquefied gas by 1 year until the end of 2025. Furthermore, the government proposes not to apply inflation adjustment for fuel excise in 2025. The rate will therefore remain the same as in 2024.
